David Lubin is a co-founder and managing partner at the Clairmont Group. He has closed over 50 transactions valued in excess of $2.0 billion in his career and has acquired over $600 million in commercial real estate over the past 5 years . Prior to joining Clairmont, Mr. Lubin has worked at large institutional investment companies such as MetLife, Allianz, AREA Property Partners (formally Apollo Management) and C-III Capital Partners. His experience includes investments in core, value-add, opportunistic,distressed real estate, note purchases, development, fund investments, and coinvestments across all major asset classes including: multifamily, hospitality, office, industrial, retail, senior living and real estate operating companies.
Additionally, Mr. Lubin has worked as a real estate investment banker at BMO Capital Markets. At BMO, he was involved in over $3.6 billion in capital raising and advisory engagements. Mr. Lubin started his career at Accenture in the Corporate Strategy and M&A group. At Accenture he advised large fortune 500 companies on new market entry strategies, shareholder value analysis, and operational efficiencies.
David Lubin holds a Master’s Degree in Real Estate Development from Columbia University and a Bachelor’s Degree from Cornell University. David also has a New York state real estate broker license and series 7 & 63.
Ryan Colbert is a co-founder and managing partner at the Clairmont Group. Mr. Colbert has over a decade of institutional real estate equity investment experience in both domestic & international markets and has acquired over $1 billion worth of commercial real estate. His experience includes investments in distressed real estate & note purchases, recapitalizations, JV partner buy-outs and direct secondary investing across all major asset classes.
Mr. Colbert was a Director at Madison Marquette and formerly a Vice President at the Lightstone Group, one of the nation’s largest real estate investment firms. While at Madison Marquette, he closed over $400 million of multifamily, office and retail acquisitions. While at the Lightstone Group, he was responsible for rebuilding the firm’s hospitality portfolio as well as expanding its existing multifamily portfolio, closing over $100 million of acquisitions during his tenure. Prior to joining Lightstone Group, Mr. Colbert was a member of the investment team at Madison International Realty, a real estate private equity firm focused on the acquisition of direct secondary’s and structured equity investments. While at Madison International Realty he was involved in the recapitalization of over $200 million of real estate.
Mr. Colbert holds a Series 7 & 63 license and completed his dual-undergraduate degree in Political Science & Finance with minors in German Studies & Law at Cornell University.
Richard Kulick is a co-founder and managing partner at the Clairmont Group. He has acquired over $600 million of multifamily properties in the past 5 years and is a nationally recognized investor. Prior to joining Clairmont Group, Mr. Kulick lead multifamily acquisitions and asset management on behalf of a New York and Miami based diversified real estate company. Earlier in his career, Mr. Kulick worked in UBS Investment Bank’s Real Estate, Leisure and Lodging Group.
Mr. Kulick is a lawyer by training and prior to UBS, practiced law for over four years in New York at Sidley Austin’s Corporate Transactions group where he structured and executed asset, stock, merger and reorganization transactions, in both friendly and hostile contexts.
Mr. Kulick received his Bachelor of Arts from Colgate University, his Master in Business Administration from the Graduate School of Business at Columbia University, and his Juris Doctorate from the George Washington University School of Law.
Dan E. Haefner
Chief Operating Officer
Dan E. Haefner is a Chief Operating Officer at the Clairmont Group. Mr. Haefner has over 30 years of experience in real estate with primary focus on asset management, property management, construction management and development. Prior to joining Clairmont Group, Mr. Haefner has held executive level position at The Lane Companies, Insignia Residential Group, and TRI Capital. Mr. Haefner has been directly responsible for managing assets in excess of $3 billion, and numerous divisions for companies in the real estate industry.
Mr. Haefner holds a BA in Business Management with Honors from St. Mary’s College in Moraga, California. Mr. Haefner was a Board Member of the National Multi Housing Council, Atlanta Apartment Association, Georgia Apartment Association, Georgia Apartment Industry Educational Fund, Rent Bureau and Highlands at Park Bridge HOA. Mr. Haefner is a current Board Member of Community Life Concepts non-profit organization.
President of Design & Development
Lev Stravchinsky is the head of Design & Development at the Clairmont Group. He has a decade of design and development experience. Lev has worked globally on hospitality, retail and residential development projects in America, Europe and Asia. To date, he has designed over 1.2 billion dollars worth of space. Prior to joining Clairmont, Mr. Stravchinsky has worked Lee H. Skolnick Architecture + Design Partnership, The I-Grace Company, Kobi Karp Architects + Interior Design and Jordan Parnass Digital Architecture. Lev holds vast experience in construction coordination, design, development, planning and public/private partnerships.
Lev Stravchinsky holds a Master’s Degree in Architecture from Columbia University and a Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture from Moscow Architectural Institute.
Andrew S. Peterson
Andrew Peterson is a vice president at the Clairmont Group and is responsible for acquisitions, property management and asset management. Prior to Clairmont Group, Mr. Peterson was a vice president at Zions First National Bank where he originated, underwrote and funded $150 million in bridge loans, construction loans, and first mortgages. Mr. Peterson also oversaw and managed a $200 million loan portfolio.
Mr. Peterson holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business from University of Utah.
Jonathan Roh is an associate at the Clairmont Group and is responsible for acquisitions, property management and asset management. Prior to Clairmont Group, Mr. Roh worked at Cogswell-Lee Group and DeCoene Holding in the acquisitions, property management and asset management roles.
Mr. Roh holds a Master’s Degree in Real Estate Development from Columbia University and a Bachelor’s Degree in Managerial Economics from University of California, Davis.
